Most of us love to receive gifts. It’s the giving that can be stressful. Shopping takes time, and if you’re shopping for someone who has everything, someone you don’t know that well, or someone a little quirky, it can be time-consuming.

At least that’s the case for me: I spend hours — days — thinking through gifts and considering my options before I find a present that I consider “just right.” As a result, I have earned a reputation in my family for being both a great gift-giver and the one to call on for gift ideas. Truthfully, I kind of enjoy it. There is a certain art to gift-giving, and the artist in me loves the thrill of finding or creating things that are special, beautiful, remarkably useful, and/or sure to be loved.

Perhaps most of all, I love sharing gift ideas with others. Hence, Sweet Finds.

Each week, this site is updated with helpful tidbits, interviews with crafters, and most importantly, creative gift and decor ideas for every recipient, holiday, and special occasion imaginable: weddings and bridal showers, bar and bat mitzvahs, births and baby showers, birthdays, anniversaries, Hannukah, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and then some.

Don’t be surprised if you also find a gift idea or two that you want for yourself. The sweetest finds, after all, are usually ones we wouldn’t mind keeping.
