How ’bout some special Super Bowl XLIV cupcakes? And no, not the not-so-great ones from your local grocery. We’re talking about homemade Indianapolis Colts v. New Orleans Saints beer cupcakes here.
Yes, beer cupcakes.
The Etsy shop (cacoa) sweets & treats is selling themed beer cupcakes made especially for Super Bowl XLIV. Every cupcake will feature either blue frosting (for the Colts) or purple frosting (for the Saints). Inside each cupcake is its respective team’s stadium beer. So the Colts cupcakes include Budweiser Golden Wheat, and the Saints cupcakes feature Abita. The beer actually cooks out of the cupcakes, so kids can enjoy them, too.

(cacoa) sweets & treats is selling the cupcakes by the dozen here. You can either play it neutral by ordering six Saints cupcakes and six Colts cupcakes. Or you can order a dozen cupcakes representing your favorite team. The cupcakes cost $32/dozen. While $2.67/cupcake might seem pricey, keep in mind that gourmet cupcake bakeries often charge $3 or more a cupcake—and they don’t include the beer or a good Super Bowl gimmick.
Take note: The frosting is shipped in a separate container so that the gourmet cupcakes still look irresistible when they arrive for your party. You could even make icing them part of your Super Bowl celebration. There’s nothing like a bunch of rowdy drunk people icing cupcakes, after all.
